With the 2022 World Cup approaching and the United Kingdom in the midst of a cost of living crisis, Andy and his team created a plan to utilise his quality content during the World Cup to benefit followers, who could donate to The Trussell Trust in return—a charity working to stop hunger and poverty in the UK through their network of food banks.
Andy’s idea for the World Cup involved hiring an expert for each nation competing in the tournament. The rationale behind this was that each expert would possess an in-depth understanding of their respective team’s playing style, the roles of individual players, and even their preparations between matches.
In addition to hiring these experts, the plan included releasing a new Cheat Sheet format and covering all 64 matches in the tournament. This demanded significant time and effort but aimed to assist followers in making smarter bets.
In return, Andy set up a GoFundMe page for The Trussell Trust with a target of £5000 and at every opportunity, whether it was after a winning tip he shared, or when there were a lot of winners from Cheat Sheets, he’d plug the page on Twitter/X and Instagram asking for a small donation to The Trussell Trust as a thank you.
Andy and his team managed to raise an impressive £7,410 from 630 donations—an outstanding accomplishment. This was achieved by delivering quality betting content in a safe and responsible manner, thereby helping followers bet smarter during the 2022 World Cup.
The Andy Robson brand has continued its charitable efforts, raising £2,777 for CALM (The Campaign Against Living Miserably) and contributing to fundraising initiatives for Water Aid and Crisis.
